My name is Pauline van den Berg, I am a Dutch citizen who has been traveling in Asia for more than 30 years. In Amsterdam I worked 10 years with Japanese art, after that I organized exhibitions of Asian contemporary art in combination with Asian antiques for my own gallery So Iki.

 

In the meantime, while still traveling through Asia I discovered how many talented and interesting artists are living and working in countries like Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, Thailand. In 2016 I continued my travels and discovered many more emerging and established artists in Vietnam who invited me to their studios in Dalat, Da Nang, Hanoi, Hoi An, Hue, and Ho Chi Minh City.

That inspired me to start soikigallery.com through this website in 2022 to promote contemporary art from the artists living and working in Asia. In future to organize art events and travels to bring together art lovers, collectors and artists to exchange ideas about art and culture, to enjoy the beauty and joy brought by art.
